QUIT COCAINE AND OVERCOME ADDICTION

Cocaine detoxification is an essential measure to initiate a habit change as soon as cocaine addiction is detected.

Quitting cocaine is not a simple task, but a multitude of processes come into play that in most cases require a specialist cocaine detoxification center such as CITA. Deciding to do a treatment to quit cocaine is the most sensible thing to do and it has been shown to be highly effective.

Cocaine detox treatment begins with an immediate cessation of use to begin cocaine detoxification. Subsequently, the phases of withdrawal and reintegration begin through psychology and change of habits of the patient.

TREATMENT TO QUIT COCAINE

Treatment to quit cocaine requires the initial consent of the cocaine addict being aware and consistent of the problem. Motivation and improvement will be key in the development of the treatment.

Cocaine is one of the drugs that generates the most addiction, so the first step is detoxification, to eliminate cocaine from the patient’s body 100%. During this stage and throughout the treatment, consumption is prohibited and the symptoms generated by cocaine addiction begin to be treated.

A center for cocaine addicts like CITA, which has recovered thousands of patients, has a team of doctors who will individually supervise each patient during the total detox protocol. Each patient must have a treatment appropriate to their habit and amount of consumption.

Asking for help to quit cocaine is not bad, it is taking a step forward.

One of the main tips to stop using cocaine is to avoid starting treatment alone, since you do not need the psychological support or the pharmacological help prescribed by specialist doctors, who help control the imbalance caused by quitting cocaine. Addiction physicians need to prescribe antidepressants to control the patient’s anxiety and mood during the process.

Overcoming this stage assumes that the patient has overcome physical dependence and the phase of psychological dependence or withdrawal from consumption can begin.

    COCAINE DEHABIT: PSYCHOLOGY IN DETOXICATION

Cocaine cessation begins with the second phase of the detoxification process, after overcoming the psychological dependence and the psychopathological consequences derived from the cocaine addiction itself and learning how to detoxify from cocaine effectively.

With applied psychology, the patient works on various aspects and techniques that, applied in their day-to-day life and their environment, will help them to work on the bases that will prevent relapse and also suffer the consequences of cocaine use.

The cessation program at CITA Clinics consists of combining psychotherapeutic and sociotherapeutic activities and actions to overcome cocaine cessation through a change in habit and customs

COCAINE REHABILITATION: THE END OF COCAINE DETOXIFICATION

Cocaine rehab is the final phase of detox treatment. During this final phase, the patient recovers from the sequelae produced by cocaine addiction.

Through therapeutic strategies, rehabilitation structures the personality, improving the ability to cope with situations that led to drug use. Strengthening self-esteem is key for the patient and will have a positive impact on their day to day after overcoming the treatment.

Also in this phase, the cocaine addiction specialists will help you and become involved in the patient’s evolution, achieving the individual and personalized treatment that makes CITA a reference addiction center throughout the world.

CITA professionals provide the necessary care to each patient during the course of treatment, ensuring the well-being and recovery of each patient.

HOW LONG DOES THE COCAINE DETOX TREATMENT LAST?

Knowing how long the cocaine detoxification process takes is difficult to identify a priori. Each patient has different consumption habits, as well as a more or less severe addiction to cocaine over time, so estimating the time necessary to know how to detoxify from coca is variable.

The treatment does not consist only in cleaning the body of coca and overcoming the withdrawal syndrome, but in working with the patient, the mind and his habits for total recovery, so it is not possible to identify without prior analysis when he will be ready to recover. his life without relapses.

The recovery time for cocaine is estimated in weeks or months depending on the consumption that has been carried out and the physical and psychological effects suffered by the patient as a result.

    SYMPTOMS OF COCAINE ADDICTION

Symptoms of cocaine abuse identify the addict and make him vulnerable. The effects can take from fifteen to thirty minutes depending on the way of consumption. Initially, the user experiences a feeling of euphoria and self-confidence, although it can also produce paranoia and anxiety.

    • In the first phase of consumption, tolerance to cocaine develops, which increases the doses in order to maintain the degree of euphoria.
    • Sporadic weekend use can also lead to dependence on this drug.
    • This substance can also cause psychiatric, neurological, cardiac and respiratory problems.

    COCAINE WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME

Cocaine withdrawal syndrome occurs when cocaine has been used persistently and the use of this drug is reduced or abandoned and is part of the detoxification process. Coca withdrawal symptoms can occur even if the user has not completely given up this drug and still has some substance in their blood.

The symptoms of quitting cocaine and withdrawal often have no visible physical symptoms, but can lead to discomfort and vomiting and / or tremors that usually last a few days. For this reason, many addicts do not know how to get off cocaine, and they urgently need a coca specialist.

Knowing how long the coca monkey lasts is also relative, although it is estimated that in a few weeks it can be overcome. This does not imply that the patient is cured because the monkey is only interpreted as the need to consume, the habit and customs of the addict are what lead him to continue consuming even without mono.

    COCAINE DEPENDENCE

Cocaine dependence can be defined as a state that arises from repeated administration on a continuous schedule or period.

    Characteristics of the dependency include:

    • The intense desire or need to continually take the drug and obtain it by any means.
    • The absence of tolerance to the effects of the drug during continued administration. In the most frequent type of periodic use, the drug can be consumed at short intervals, resulting in an intense toxic reaction.
    • Psychic dependence on the effects of the drug is a reality, in addition to depriving the withdrawal syndrome.

The negative influence of drugs on work, friends, family and legal conflicts are important sequelae of cocaine use disorders.

These disorders derived from cocaine addiction are often long-lasting.
